Remotes and eInstruction

Current Works - SideKeys Remotes

SideKeys are a set of three remotes that can be used with many different programs on the computer. The company, Current Works, developed these remotes to be used with their programs Quizworks and Quiz 6. These programs allow students to take quizzes and review either as competition like a game show. The remotes can be used with any program that is running in "slideshow mode" such as a PowerPoint presentation. The remotes use radio frequency rather than infared so the beam cannot be interrupted by neighboring students who try to block one teams attempt to answer. The receiver is connected to the computer that displays the information.

eInstruction

eInstruction remotes come as a class set of 30. The software that comes with the remotes also allows teachers to create questions for quiz taking or review. This software shows the number of remotes being used at the bottom of the screen as boxes and records each individual response. As students select their choice, the box related to their remote is filled in. The instructor can see that everyone has answered before moving on. The software allows for immediate review of right and wrong answers and the percentage of students that made selections for each answer option. A great tool for immediate feedback.
