DRIVE AROUND THE WORLD EDUCATION SITE

http://www.drivearoundtheworld.com/education/index.html
Drive Around the World is a team of San Francisco Bay Area professionals who
use long-range driving expeditions to promote cross-border understanding and
goodwill through innovative educational programs. Over the last 20 years,
Drive Around the World team members have lived in and traveled throughout
North & South America, Europe, Africa, Australia, and Asia.

The latest expedition is called LONGITUDE . It is a nine-month overland
adventure that circumnavigates the globe, across four continents, through 34
countries, following lines of longitude. During the LONGITUDE expedition,
the team will encounter a variety of geography, climates, and cultures that
aim to enhance first-hand experiences in your classroom. The team invites
students and followers to ask questions. Questions can be directed to
expedition team members or the people they meet, such as research
scientists, farmers, families, guides, museum curators, and other teachers.
Click on "I'm a Teacher" to find short, adaptable lesson plans and
activities that build cross-cultural awareness, respect, and communication
in the classroom. Lessons are flexible, easy to use, and standards-based.
