RMTC: D/HH Captioning Center

RMTC: D/HH Captioning Center

The Resource Materials & Technology Center: D/HH captions instructional video tapes for use in classrooms throughout the state of Florida with deaf and hard-of-hearing students.  Videos are also available for staff needing to improve their sign language skills and awareness of Deaf Culture. The center has a lending library of more than 1,400 captioned and signed videotapes.

The catalog is updated and sent out to deaf/hh programs throughout the state as needed.  We have a catalog for teachers with students who are deaf/hh and we have a catalog for educational interpreters. The educational interpreter catalog has video tapes created to help develop and improve signing and interpreting skills.

To participate in our videotape loan program contact Carmelina Hollingsworth through email, or call 1-800-356-6731.

We are working to improve the materials sent out with the captioned and signed tapes, please let us know if you have any comments or suggestions.

Our RMTC: D/HH Web links have also been organized as content area resrouces .
