A to Z Teacher Stuff
This site is organized for finding quick lesson ideas: Lesson Plans, Thematic Units, and Activities for Children's Literature. Links are compiled by theme for thematic unit resources, and by title/author for book activities. There are additional links to other educational resources.

CLN Theme Pages
A wide range of topics with curricular links (information on the topic), and instructional materials links (teaching support -lesson plans, tips, etc.).

Cyberguides
I know! I know! I mentioned this site a couple of times last year, but it really is excellent. It's the Language/Reading teacher in me coming out, but it's exactly the kinds of cross-curricular activities I looked for when I was teaching. Put out by the Schools of California Online Resources for Education (S.C.O.R.E.) group, this site has top-notch integrated units for everyone K-12. With a real emphasis on using quality literature as the cohesive foundation for integration, these units and lessons are AWESOME!

Debbie's Unit Factory
Debbie features quality elementary level theme units for teachers and home schoolers. Most of her units are for sale, but she does have sample themes that you can use. She also provides links to other sites for activities for monthly themes.

Enchanted Learning
Sites with lessons, unit, craft activites and much more.

Gander Academy
Teacher resources well organized by themes for the teacher that integrates curricula. Themes include Archaeology, Countries, Earth Science, Flight, Animals, Forests, History, Ocean, Health, Sports, the Environment, Space, Music, Mythology and Weather. This site is well worth the time and effort.

Learner Online
Annenberg/CPB Multimedia continues to add to these exceptional "exhibits" that are actually online lessons. Amusement Park Physics, South Africa, Garbage, Medical Ethics, Russia, Literature, Statistics, Volcanoes and the Middle Ages are all offerings. Personality is the featured exhibit right now.

Marcia's Lesson Links
Links to web sites categorized by a lot of elementary topics.

SchoolExpress.com
Good units available for a membership fee.

Teacher Planet
TeacherPlanet features over 200 theme based resource pages. Find these by searching our calendar or by Alphabetical Listing of all themes from A-Z below.

Thematic Pathfinders for All Ages
This web project provides "four to eXplore" for each topic. On each page you'll find definitions, activities, the 4 good starting points, and many more links and resources for the thematic topic.

Thematic Units for Primary Grades
Presented by the University of South Carolina, here's nearly two dozen thematic units with everything from technology connections to teaching across the curriculum with themes such as Ancient Egypt, Insects, Rainforests, Transportation, and Westward Expansion. Wonderful stuff! I get really excited when I find sites like this. It was just what I looked for when I was teaching. And they blend well with the Sunshine State Standards.

Units 4 Teachers
Provides teachers with FREE, professionally created, and ready-to-use Theme Units for their classroom to adapt for special needs, levels, and situations. Each week they feature a Specific Unit, or site that provides FREE Unit Planning Resources.

ZoomSchool
Zoom School is an on-line elementary school classroom with lessons in geography, biology, language arts, and early childhood activities. This site is a part of EnchantedLearning.com which I mentioned earlier in the year. Check it out. There are great thematic units here, ready for you to use. And they're already written for elementary-level classrooms. And take a peak at the topic dictionaries (shark dictionary, rainforest dictionary, etc). They're great!
