5 a Day
March is National Nutrition Month. Visit this site from Dole to get lots of information and activities. You can get a free copy of the 5 a Day Adventure CD-ROM (version 2000) by sending a request on school letterhead via mail or fax. Include your name, school address, and phone number. You can get one for every computer in your classroom. The CD contains eight interactive educational modules that are cross-curriculuar and meet standards of learning. Food and Nutrition Resources for Teachers -
This food and nutrition site from the USDA has teacher resources with subject-specific bibliographies of books, audiovisuals, articles, and web resources; topic information with electronic information resources available on the Food and Nutrition Information web site; and, other resources -- they can lend you books, videos and curricula, help you locate resources, and provide reliable nutrition information through various networks.

Healthy Choices for Kids -
March is National Nutrition Month. This site is from the Growers of Washington State Apples. It has stories, activities, and plays about nutrition for all ages. It is available in both English and Spanish.

IronKids Bread -
Find information on nutrition and exercise. Read nutrition tips and soccer tips and sign up for an IronKids Triathlon. You can even play games.
