Celebrating Wildflowers
Outline drawings of Northeastern United States wildflowers may
be printed out to be colored on paper or saved to disk to be colored with a
paint program. The drawings are indexed by both common and scientific names,
and a second drawing of each flower uses numbers or arrows to show what colors
to use for each part of the wildflower.

Ecosystems
Fifth grade students in Delaware are using the Science and Tchnology
Unit called "Ecosystems"; after students make their own aquariums
and terrariums, they join their two systems and study the effects of pollution.
Students also study the Chesapeake Bay ecosystem and ecosystems close to school
and in other areas of Delaware. Adaptable to your region. This unit would correlate
with the Sunshine State Standards: Science-How Living Things Interact with
their Environment.

developed this web site to teach kids about fire safety. It teaches about
smoke alarms, escape plans, and fire safety in the home. The site also includes
informational and interactive tools to promote these precautions. After kids
learn about fire safety, they can test their skills in Hydro's Hazard House
by identifying fire hazards.

This site helps you explore the ocean through literature. It's great!
It has interactive activity, web resources, book activities, writing activities,
art activities, and a teacher's page. For those of you that got the Imagination
Express software at FEHI, this would be a great resource to use with the Ocean
version. Thanks to Lisa for this site!
Treetures
Treetures represent an environmental education effort with a direct focus on trees. They are a community of whimsical characters that are dedicated to carrying the message of tree planting and care. The Treeture Program promotes activities held throughout the country that combine environmental education with entertainment for children.
Water
Sixth-grade students in Hawaii created this web site examining
water in their community. This is a great example of student-created work that
has been put on the web. Check
out their 10-step process for multimedia project development
