Simple Methods of Integrating Technology Into Primary Classrooms -
Good article about integrating technology into primary classrooms. The
article is dated (1997), but the information is still applicable.

Thematic Units for Primary Grades -
Presented by the University of South Carolina, here's nearly two dozen thematic units with everything from technology connections to teaching across the curriculum with themes such as Ancient Egypt, Insects, Rainforests, Transportation, and Westward Expansion. Wonderful stuff! I get really excited when I find sites like this. It was just what I looked for when I was teaching. And they blend well with the Sunshine State Standards.

Turtle Tales - http://www.ed.uri.edu/unitweb/Paull/TurtleTales.htm
This thematic teaching unit on turtles was designed for K-2 students. The lessons contain activities in Language Arts, Science, and Art. Turtle legends, life cycles, habitats, feeding and care are explored. There are web links and a slide presentation.

This link shows great projects for younger learners (K-3). Great ways for young students to share their work and cooperate with others.

And they're already written for elementary-level classrooms. And take a peak at the topic dictionaries (shark dictionary, rainforest dictionary, etc). They're great!
